Tracking Submission Trends Over Time

The Submissions Over Time chart shows how your form's submission volume changes day-by-day. Use it to track the impact of marketing campaigns, identify seasonal patterns, and spot drops caused by technical issues.

Set your date range

In Formcierge → Analytics, use the date picker at the top right to select the period you want to analyse. Choose from preset ranges (Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days) or a custom date range.

Read the trends chart

The line chart shows daily submissions. Hover over any point to see the exact count for that day. A sharp drop often indicates a technical issue (form error, site downtime, broken embed). A spike usually correlates with a marketing email, ad campaign, or press mention.

Compare periods

Enable Compare Period to overlay the previous equivalent period. For example, "Last 30 days vs. Previous 30 days" shows whether your submission rate is growing, stable, or declining.

Export the data

Click Export CSV to download the raw daily submission counts for further analysis in Excel, Google Sheets, or your BI tool.

The analytics data is stored locally in your WordPress database alongside your entries. No data leaves your server. You can query it directly via the formcierge_get_analytics function for custom reports.
